COLUMBUS, Ohio — Penn State hadn’t beaten Ohio State since 2016. The Nittany Lions hadn’t won on the road there since 2011.
This game had all the makings of the No. 1 Buckeyes beating down on a spiraling Penn State team, but the Nittany Lions didn’t quit despite nobody thinking they could pull this one out.
Penn State trailed just 17-14 at the half, but the second half was a different story, as the Buckeyes ended up blowing out the Nittany Lions 38-14.
Ohio State got off to a hot start, scoring on its first offensive possession after Penn State started with the ball. The drive went 11 plays, 89 yards and capped off with quarterback Julian Sayin firing off a 14-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
It looked like the Buckeyes would score again on their next possession aft
