YORKTON - It was an SJHL Halloween tilt as Battlefords visited the Westland Insurance Arena in Yorkton Friday.
And the visiting North Stars were totally tricked by the hometown Terriers.
Yorkton would score five first period goals and coast to a 7-2 win on the night.
Cash Lanigan started things for Yorkton scoring 4:39 into the contest, followed by Jye Zawatsky adding a pair at 5:44 and 8:19.
Linken Fisher finally put Battlefords on the board at 15:26.
But the Terrier goal deluge quickly resumed with William Leonard scoring an unassisted effort at 16:55, and Lanigan getting his second of the period at 19:36.
In the second period only one goal would be recorded, a powerplay effort by the North Stars’ Anthony Campbell to make it a 5-2 Terrier lead through 40-minutes of play.
