CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) -- A pop-up food pantry was held Saturday afternoon in Central Falls to help those in need.

The event was held on Saturday on Hunt St., and the line rounded the corner of the block.

"As you may have heard, more than 5,000 CF residents will not be receiving their SNAP benefits, including thousands of children, an essential service that they depend on for access to food.," a statement from the Mayor's office read.
