INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) - The Marian girls soccer team is celebrating its first state championship since 2012 after defeating Park Tudor in the Class 2A state final.
The Knights (15-4-2) avenged last year’s state championship loss with a 3-0 victory on Saturday at IU Indianapolis’ Michael Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium. They also avenged another state finals loss earlier this decade in 2021.
Milana Micola scored two goals in the first half to lead the Knights while Aubrey Bradley added another goal in the 62nd minute.
It’s the second state title in program history for the Knights, and it’s their first at the 2A level.
Park Tudor finishes 15-6-3. The Panthers were seeking their fourth state title after reaching the final for the fifth time in seven years.
