WAYNE, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A New Jersey man who is accused of making terroristic threats towards New Jersey’s Governor was arrested in Wayne County on Friday.
A release from The West Virginia Police says Russ Semeren, 54, from Dumont, New Jersey had active warrants after making threats towards New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
Troopers say they were told by the New Jersey State Police that Semeren was believed to be in Wayne County.
The release says Semeren had been tracked to an area near Beech Fork State Park.
The investigation then led Troopers to the Holy Cross Monastery where the suspect was located and arrested without incident.
Semeren is Russian Orthodox himself had previously been staying at a monastery in upstate New York.
