A 500 pound propane tank exploded on the rail road tracks in the area of Wrangle Hill Road in Bear, Delaware, on Saturday left several nearby buildings damaged, New Castle County officials said.

The explosion, which caused a fire, involved railroad maintenance equipment, officials said.

The fire caused severe damage to the equipment, as well as structural damage to several nearby buildings, officials said.

The fire has since been put under control by firefighters, official said.

SkyForce10 was over the scene to find people still working on the area Saturday night, but the fire was put out.

No injuries were reported.
