Apache Junction and Gold Canyon voters will be deciding in a mail-only ballot Election Day Nov. 4 if Superstition Fire and Medical District can issue bonds to provide funds to construct, renovate, improve, equip and furnish fire stations and other district facilities, acquire apparatus, vehicles and equipment, and other costs.

Ballots can be dropped off 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Apache Junction Recorder’s Office, 575 N. Idaho Road Ste No. 800.

The $33.8 million proposal appears on the special election ballot as Proposition 494. The estimated average tax rate for the proposed bond authorization is 27 cents per $100 of net assessed limited property value.
