ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football will be without its biggest offensive weapon tonight.

Running back Justice Haynes is among the six players ruled out by the 21st-ranked Wolverines, who will be shorthanded for tonight’s game against Purdue (7 p.m., Big Ten Network).

No word yet on the severity of the injury to Haynes, whose name had been circulating in the rumor mill all week. Tonight will mark the second full game the Big Ten’s leading running back has missed this season.

Haynes’ absence will place more of the load on redshirt freshman Jordan Marshall, who is coming off back-to-back 100-yard rushing games. Redshirt freshman Jasper Parker is also in line for more work.
