PILLAGER — One Pillager family is spreading kindness — a pebble at a time.
The Pillager Painted Pebble Party is an initiative started by Kristy Blomlie, along with her daughter Jessalyn Peterson and boyfriend Loren Koska.
The idea started at the resort where Blomlie works. A couple kids who live there year-round paint and hide rocks around the resort.
“So every day, I would find myself out there, bringing home a rock for (Jessalyn),” Blomlie said. “... It just became a super fun highlight for me.”
Then the family decided to take on the initiative themselves, picking up rocks near the railroad tracks on their nightly walks, painting them and leaving them around Pillager for others to find.
