SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Lane County families can breathe a sigh of relief as the McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center announces its commitment to continue 24/7 obstetric care starting Nov. 1. This move comes after the Oregon Medical Group's OB-GYN team left earlier this fall, raising concerns about the availability of local care.
"One thing we heard really loud and clear from the community is that they wanted McKenzie-Willamette to continue labor and delivery services," said Linda Lang, vice president of physician services at MWMC. "So we felt that was really important... so we are really proud to be able to continue to labor and delivery."
