TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Lightning's 25th annual Bolt Run drew a crowd of over 2500 down Bayshore Avenue Saturday morning.
Ultimately, runners tell us a successful run is all about being in the right headspace.
"If you put your mind to it you can do anything you want to do. it's hard to finish a race but you can keep pushing and achieve it," said Amber Schweitzer, an athlete from the Special Olympics who competed in the race.
The run benefitted Florida's Special Olympics.
"We offer all these training opportunities, competitions and the money that comes in really supports our athletes to be able to shine," said Jessica Ott, regional director, west coast, Special Olympics Florida.
