GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) - A shelter in Gibson County needs the community’s help through adoptions.
Gibson County Animal Services says they are at overcapacity with dogs and cats.
According to the organization, they are only meant to hold 16 dogs and 22 cats at a time - they say they have 76 dogs and 118 cats currently.
Officials say they do not have any dog houses or crates, and will not be accepting any surrenders or strays.
The shelter says they are in desperate need of fosters and adoptions, which are free.
“Thank you so much for understanding us and we appreciate all of the support the community has been giving us,” they say on social media. “If you know of any other rescues that might be able to help please reach out!”
You can also donate to the shelter by giving dog or cat food
