The agony goes on for Fife Flyers. A 5-1 defeat on the road at Manchester Storm in the Elite League. Then a 5-0 reverse at home to Glasgow Clan in the Challenge Cup.

On Sunday, they face pace-setting league leaders, Sheffield Steelers, at Kirkcaldy (face-off 5pm) and come into the game on the back of 11 defeats in a row.

Against Manchester they were in the game at 2-1 down until the final session which they lost 3-0. Fife were outshot overall 36-20 and head coach, Jamie Russell, felt his special teams were outstanding.

At home to Glasgow they were 2-0 behind after the first and lost the second 3-0. They were outshot again, but only 28-27.
