My favourite takeaway…

Hands down it’s Francesco's Takeaway in Portlaoise for simply good, no-fuss food. You can’t beat their Southern Fried Chicken, crispy battered sausages and divine chips, especially when enjoyed with their perfect garlic dip. It’s comfort food done right.

My first memory of food…

It’s hard to pick just one, but one memory really stands out. My mam was our personal chef but I always remember my dad cooking on Saturdays. He used to do homemade chips - well everything was homemade back then - but he used to cut the letters of our names out in the chips and carefully arrange them on our plates. It made eating so much fun.
