KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A 36-year-old man is charged after making threatening statements at Kansas City International (KCI) Airport.
Platte County prosecutors charged Joseph Velasquez on Friday, Oct. 24, with second-degree terrorist threat.
According to court documents, KCI police officers responded to a harassment complaint on a Delta Airlines gate just before 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24.
When officers arrived on scene, a witness stated he overheard the suspect make several threatening comments, prompting him to contact airport police, according to court documents. The witness also stated that because of the suspect's comments, Delta Airlines placed Velasquez on the Delta No Flay List.
