LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A 19-year-old was arrested on Saturday, November 1, after leading police on a chase.
Laredo police said it ended with his car crashing into an electrical pole.
Around 4 a.m., an officer saw a red car allegedly driving carelessly near Tiara Trail and McPherson. Police tried to stop the car, but the driver allegedly refused to pull over and drove away instead.
The man continued driving southbound on McPherson, eventually crashing into a pole near San Jose. The crash caused the pole to fall, bringing down electrical wires.
The suspect, 19-year-old Bryan Ontiveros, tried to run but was arrested after a short chase.
He was charged with:
Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, a 3rd degree felony
Evading Arrest, a class A misdemeanor
Duty on Striking Structure or Fixture, a cl
