Duke football showed it could punch with a heavyweight to beat Clemson

CLEMSON, SC — Duke football took a punch or two on the road at Clemson , but the Blue Devils always had an answer.

The Blue Devils opened the game swinging, scoring on their first three opening possessions to jump out to a 14-point lead after one quarter. Clemson responded, scoring 21 unanswered points before Duke added a late second-quarter touchdown to tie the game 28-all at halftime.
