MAINE, USA — Northern Light Health patients with Anthem insurance will continue to be charged in-network rates as the two sides work toward a new contract, despite missing a key deadline Friday.
In a statement released early Saturday, Northern Light President and CEO Dr. R. Guy Hudson confirmed that no agreement is yet in place, but stressed that patients will not see disruptions to their care.
“As of this morning, we do not have a new contract with Anthem,” Hudson said. “I personally want to reassure our patients who are Anthem customers that they can continue to receive care with Northern Light Health without disruption while these negotiations continue — they will not be treated as out of network.
