PHOENIX — An area in south Phoenix was closed after a dead body was found on Saturday morning, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the area of 23rd Avenue and Baseline Road for reports of a dead body around 9:04 a.m.
When police arrived on scene, they reportedly located an unconscious male who had signs that he was possibly hit by a car.
Police said the Phoenix Fire Department responded and pronounced the man dead.
