The New Orleans Police Department is investigating an unclassified death after a body was found in Lake Pontchartrain Saturday.

The NOPD said Levee District Police notified the department at about 12:34 p.m. that an unresponsive man had been found near the 7300 block of Lakeshore Drive.

The man was declared deceased at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available, the NOPD said.
