LEXINGTON, Ky. —
The St. X Tigers secured the program's 17th state championship with a 2-0 win over Covington Catholic at the Lexington Sports Club Stadium.
With the win, the Tigers have the most state titles in KHSAA history. It's also the 13th state for head coach Andy Schulten, the winningest coach in KHSAA soccer history with 572 wins.
St. X junior Brady Youssefizad scored early. Later, he helped to secure the win with an assist to Trey White and was named the Morgan & Morgan All-Tournament MVP.
