Never mind that Penn State began the season as a trendy pick to win the national title, or that Ohio State was replacing 14 draft picks, breaking in a new quarterback, and handing the keys to two new coordinators.

You know which team is ranked No. 1 and dashing back up the mountain, and which one is fireballing down it.

Ohio State continued its tour of destruction Saturday with a 38-14 win over the Nittany Lions, turning a long-bombing flurry of big plays into another victory as clinical as it was captivating for the crowd of 105,517 at the Horseshoe.

Call it the unrelenting monotony of excellence.
