LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A chilly November rain is sweeping across Kentucky this evening, making for a damp and dreary start to the month for the Bluegrass State. Showers are first ramping up in western Kentucky this afternoon, then spreading into central and eastern parts of the state later tonight as rounds of rain spin around a weak area of low pressure.

The rain lingers through the overnight hours, but drier trends will quickly take over by midday Sunday. If you have outdoor plans Sunday, you’ll notice showers tapering off with even a few peeks of sun returning to the forecast by afternoon.

Looking ahead into next week, a welcome break from the showers settles in, delivering a noticeably milder and drier weather pattern. By Monday, expect clouds to thin and skies to become partly sunn
