Ohio's new congressional map has been approved.
The map significantly favors Republicans, although by a less aggressive margin than was originally proposed by GOP lawmakers. This came as part of a compromise that was agreed to by both parties on Thursday. Advertisement
Based on the results from the 2024 presidential election, the map features three different districts won by former Vice President Kamala Harris and 12 districts won by President Donald Trump. This gives Republicans an even greater edge than the old map, where Trump won in 11 districts in 2024.
