Four hurt in Charlottesville Halloween party shooting; CPD Chief says 'It could have been way worse'

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — Charlottesville police are investigating a shooting that left four people injured after gunfire erupted at a private Halloween party overnight.

Police Chief Michael Kochis said officers responded to reports of shots fired just after midnight Friday on the 1400 block of River Road.
