LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Two Mid-Michigan high school football teams put their unbeaten records on the line on Saturday in the district semifinals.
In Division 7, Pewamo-Westphalia only led Ravenna 14-12 at halftime, but broke away in the second half to win 41-12. The Pirates were led by senior quarterback Ty Thelen’s six total touchdowns, three in the air and three on the ground. Pewamo-Westphalia will host North Muskegon in the district final.
Also in Division 7, Saranac fell to North Muskegon 48 to 6.
In 8-player Division 2, Portland St. Patrick walloped Marion 62-16. The Shamrocks jumped out to a 42-0 lead by halftime and rolled to the win from there. St. Pat’s will host Mendon in the district final next weekend.
Elsewhere in 8-player Division 2, Morrice fell to Deckerville 27-26 af
