Well, here we go, folks. The first Game 7 in a World Series since the before times – the last was in 2019 when the Nationals squeaked past the Astros, in the only case ever where the road team won all seven games. Game 7 was started by Max Scherzer, who will be starting for the Blue Jays tonight. So there’s your narrative. Weirdly, in that game, both starters (Scherzer and Zack Greinke) plus the winning pitcher (Patrick Corbin) and losing pitcher (Will Harris), had previously played for Arizona. There was a spell where Game 7’s were quite common: from 2011 through that Nationals’ game, the World Series went to a decider more often than not. Should be fun…
