CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) —Downtown Clearwater is set to undergo a construction boom that will include the addition of a hotel, high-rise apartment building, a parking garage, and a major streetscape project.

According to a city release, construction will soon begin on multiple projects that will redevelop key downtown areas, add needed parking and transform Osceola Avenue.

A 10-story hotel with accompanying retail and a parking garage will be built on the eastern edge of the park just south of the Clearwater Main Library. An apartment high-rise will be built on the site of the former city hall.

Another parking garage that can accommodate nearly 400 spaces will be constructed across Osceola Avenue, which will also undergo a major makeover.
