WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump White House has been given approval to send long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, according to three officials close to the situation.

This decision from the Pentagon follows a determination that the move would not negatively impact U.S. stockpiles. The final decision now rests with President Donald Trump.

Recently, Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he preferred not to provide the missiles to Ukraine. However, sources indicate that the administration has plans in place to quickly send the Tomahawks if permission is granted by the president.

Officials have also noted Trump's growing frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin's reluctance to engage in peace talks.
