A man was attacked and threatened with a gun in front of his child during an armed robbery in broad daylight on Halloween in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood.
Around 3:16 p.m. Friday, a 42-year-old man was approached by three men on the 2600 block of South Emerald Avenue. One of the men pulled out a gun and pointed it at the 42-year-old man, police said.
As the 42-year-old man attempted to leave, one of the suspects hit him in the face with the gun and demanded he give them his belongings, police said.
The three suspects then fled with the man's belongings in his vehicle, that was later recovered on the 300 block of South Maplewood.
The man's child was with him when the robbery occurred, according to Cook County Crime Stoppers.
No suspects are in custody, police said.
