AUSTIN (KAMR/KCIT) — Texans will have a chance to explore the outdoors for free this weekend as the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department celebrates Texas State Parks Day on Sunday, Nov. 2.

The event, which began in 2023 during the centennial celebration of Texas State Parks, offers free day-use admission at all 89 parks across the state.

“We hope that Texas State Parks Day will inspire all Texans to get outside and explore what our great state has to offer,” said Rodney Franklin, State Parks Division Director. “We encourage you to spend time with family and discover what makes our state parks so special.”
