NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Tomasita's restaurants in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, along with Atrisco Cafe and Bar, are now providing free meals to federal workers who are furloughed as a result of the government shutdown. Federal employees are invited to enjoy a free meal on the house, along with their spouse and children.

Staff members say this is just a small way they can give back to those who have long supported them. "Food insecurities are huge for people, and we understand what those insecurities can cause, the stress it can cause for families, and that's why we want to be here to help relieve some of that stress and bring some joy to people for as long as this lasts," said Knoulan Tanner, manager of Tomasita's New Mexican Restaurant.
