Why Bo Bichette can hardly run with injury in World Series Game 7

The Toronto Blue Jays have a problem.

Bo Bichette can hardly run.

They've got him in the lineup for his bat. He's a great right-handed hitter.

But injury has Bichette limited on the bases, and he pretty much can only go station to station.

Blue Jays have to deal with Shohei Ohtani rule, which is unfair to everyone but Dodgers

Why can Bo Bichette hardly run?

Bichette is injured.

He was out from Sept. 6 onward due to a left knee sprain. He didn't return to action until the World Series.

The Blue Jays are playing Bichette at second base rather than his usual shortstop to limit the need for range in the field.

He also played DH for the two games George Springer missed.
