Spurred on by the memory of two earlier defeats, the Galena girls soccer team was adamant that would not happen again.

The Grizzlies embraced the underdog role and rode it to a dominating 5-0 win over Bishop Manogue for the girls soccer Class 4A-North Regional championship on Saturday at Manogue.

Galena led 4-0 at halftime.
