LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A great end to the weekend is ahead with a couple more chilly mornings still in the forecast!

Sunday will be a great day for outdoor plans with temperatures starting in the mid 40’s to low 50’s at sunrise. By the afternoon, we’ll have plenty of sunshine and highs near 70. Enjoy the beautiful day before temps quickly drop.

Monday morning looks like the coolest this week with low 40’s out the door, and possibly upper 30’s north of I-10! Any frost potential looks limited and would be north of I-10 if we see any. But you’ll want the jacket out the door.

The nice, dry weather will continue for much of the week as high temperatures slowly climb each day. We’ll be back to near 80 degrees by Friday afternoon though it may take until next weekend of not longer for any
