Just like any OHL coach worth his salt, Drake Berehowsky isn’t satisfied with anything less than two points.

But the Sudbury Wolves’ assistant coach couldn’t fault his players for their effort in staging a thrilling comeback against the Owen Sound Attack on Saturday night.

After slow start that saw them spot their hosts a three-goal lead, the Wolves carried the play for much of the second and third periods, only to drop a 4-3 decision at Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

“After they went down 3-0, they battled back,” said Berehowsky, who filled in as bench boss coach with Scott Barney away at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

“We had our chances and we didn’t bury, which was unfortunate, but I’m proud of the way the guys came back. They showed a lot of character.”
