LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A teenager is in critical condition after a car suffered a mechanical issue and pinned them against a tree on the University of Louisville’s campus.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, officers responded to a call at around 5:20 p.m. of a single vehicle accident in the 2000 block of South Third Street on UofL’s campus on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Initial investigations revealed that a car was driving southbound on Third Street when it experienced a mechanical issue.
Both the driver and the passenger of the car jumped out of the vehicle. The car continued to move, and the passenger somehow got pinned between it and a tree.
EMS took the passenger, a female teenager whose age is unknown, to UofL Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
