OBETZ — Irelyn Johnson successfully brought down the curtain on a historic season for herself and the Marlington High School girls cross country team.

Johnson became the first Marlington girl to win an OHSAA cross country state title on Saturday, Nov. 1. The junior took the Division III race at Fortress Obetz in a school-record 18:10.19.

The Dukes boys team won three straight Division II team titles from 2021-23.
