MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A former Shelby County Correctional Officer was arrested on a federal contraband charge, U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) said.

Tamillian Young, 24, was charged in federal court with providing or possessing contraband in a penal facility, USMS said.

According to USMS, members of the Memphis Safe Task Force, along with the Shelby County Division of Corrections Office of Professional Standards, arrested Young at the Shelby County Division of Corrections.

USMS said Young was found with multiple contraband items including cigarettes, tobacco, and marijuana at the time of her arrest.

Officials said if convicted, Young could face 20 years in federal prison.
