AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Color, music, and remembrance filled the city this weekend as two Dia de los Muertos celebrations brought Amarillo together to honor loved ones and celebrate Latino culture.

The Amarillo Council for the Latino Arts hosted its third annual Dia de los Muertos Festival at Starlight Ranch. The event featured live performances, art displays, food vendors and traditional activities honoring those who have passed. Organizers said the goal was to showcase local artists while sharing the meaning of the Mexican tradition with the wider community.
