The Komets' blazing start to the season continued Saturday night with a third win in four days against fellow Central Division contender Iowa to become the first team in the Western Conference to reach 10 points.
James Stefan and Trevor Janicke netted goals for Fort Wayne and goaltender Samuel Jonsson turned in his second clean sheet in a row in a 2-0 victory at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.
The Komets (5-1-0) boast a plus-13 goal differential that is easily the best in the West. They outshot the Heartlanders (3-4-1) 26-15, including 17-3 in a dominant second period.
