Ann Arbor — Michigan wants to be a playoff team but didn’t look like one against Purdue.

The Wolverines are going to have to play with the type of urgency head coach Sherrone Moore has been preaching if they’re going to reach that postseason goal with three regular-season games remaining.

No. 21 Michigan, a three-touchdown favorite against a Purdue team that's winless in the Big Ten, was hardly dominant in its 21-16 win over the Boilermakers on Saturday at Michigan Stadium. Sure, the Wolverines were down several key players with injuries and lost a few more during the game, but coaches always talk about how every team deals with that late in a season.
