JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man found shot multiple times Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the 4300 block of Brentwood Avenue, near the intersection with Golfair Boulevard, around 6:15 p.m. about a person being shot, JSO said. There, they found a man in his late thirties with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Multiple people were detained for questioning, JSO said, but it was not immediately clear what happened.

Anyone with information on the circumstances or potential people involved in the man's death are asked to contact JSO directly or to leave an anonymous tip with First Coast Crime Stoppers.
