BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont native and rising music star Teezo Touchdown returned home Saturday to host a community day at the city's main library downtown.

City officials say the event was designed to bring families together for an afternoon of music, fun, and hometown pride — all while promoting literacy.

The celebration ran from noon to 4 p.m. and featured live performances, activities, and special guests, including children’s music sensation Gracie’s Corner.

The day was a reminder of the power of community and the pride Beaumont feels for one of its own.
