KAPOLEI, Hawaii (Island News) -- A man was arrested and charged this week in connection to a stabbing in Kapolei in early September.

Juan Anthony German, 37, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 30, on suspicion of stabbing a 39-year-old man in the area of Manawai Street and Kapolei Parkway. A stabbing was reported to police at 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 6 and once officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim slumped over and bleeding.

Paramedics treated the victim for his multiple stab wounds then took him to the hospital in critical condition.

German was charged with second-degree attempted murder on Saturday, Nov. 1, and his bail was set at $500,000.

The defendant is expected to make his first appearance in court this upcoming week.
