: The Department of Social Work (PG and UG) of St. Edmund’s College, Shillong, organized a comprehensive General Health Camp at Lumshyrmit, Mihmyntdu, in West Jaintia Hills district on Friday.

Conducted in collaboration with SURE (Society for Urban and Rural Empowerment), Nangbah PHC, District Mental Health Programme, Jowai, Civil Hospital, Ialong, DM&HO, Jowai, and Mission Nethralaya Eye Care Centre, Shillong, the camp provided free medical services to 116 residents of the area.

The one-day camp offered general health check-ups, oral cancer screening, blood pressure and sugar monitoring, eye examinations, blood and HIV testing, and mental health counseling.
