The Pro Wrestling League, which was suspended after four seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is set to return in January 2026. This time, the Wrestling Federation of India will handle payments to wrestlers and franchises directly to ensure financial transparency and stability.

The WFI has also assured that wrestlers who participated in protests against former chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will not face any discrimination and will be allowed to enter their names in the auction.
