College Football Playoff bracket for Week 11: Projecting top four seeds, first-round matchups, bubble teams

Virginia was picked to finish 14th out of 17 teams in the ACC preseason poll on July 30 .

Who would have guessed the Cavaliers would be the only unbeaten team in conference play and projected to make the College Football Playoff heading into Week 11? By the way, that's by a technicality. A 35-31 loss to NC State on Sept. 6 was a non-conference game.

The Wolfpack knocked off the last unbeaten in the conference Saturday. NC State upset No. 8 Georgia Tech 48-36. That was after SMU upset No. 10 Miami – a shocking second loss for the Hurricanes. Preseason favorite Clemson fell to 3-5 after a 46-45 loss to Duke.
