Shreveport, La. – The two young sisters who died after a house fire in Shreveport were laid to rest this weekend at Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.
Family, friends, and members of the community gathered and mourned the short lives Danielle Spearman, 5, and Aaliyah Robinson, 9.
The two sisters spent a week in the hospital following the Oct. 13 fire police say was intentionally set by their teenage cousin, Marshavion Harris.
Harris is currently being held on two counts of second-degree murder. A decision has yet to be determined whether the teen will be charged as an adult.
Shreveport Fire Chief Clarence Reese Jr. was in attendance on behalf of the fire department.
