The Los Angeles Dodgers made history with a thrilling comeback win in Game 7 to capture back-to-back World Series titles. In one of the most dramatic finishes in World Series history, the Dodgers rallied late to beat the Blue Jays in extra innings and claim their ninth championship.
The Toronto Blue Jays started strong at Rogers Center. Bo Bichette hit a three-run homer in the third inning, the first postseason home run of his career, to give the Jays a 3-0 lead. The Dodgers slowly fought back as Teoscar Hernandez added a sacrifice fly in the fourth to make it 3-1, and runs by Will Smith and Mookie Betts cut it to 3-2. However, Gimenez doubled in the bottom of the sixth to extend Toronto’s lead to 4-2.
